Immediate Past President, Jay Pennie was honored by Chestnut Hill Rotary with a $1,000 gift to the club’s endowed fund, a charity of his choice. On behalf of the board, the gift was announced at the recent club meeting by Treasurer, Tim Sager and President Cathy Brzozowski.

“I am so honored to have received this very generous gift from Chestnut Hill Rotary,” said Jay Pennie. “I am so happy to have this gift go to The Fund For Northwest Philadelphia so that we can continue to build our future funding and increase our capacity to help organizations doing great work in our community.”

Among his accomplishments over the past year was the development of a four-year Strategic Plan based on the Rotary Action Plan and a 50% growth in membership.

“It has been such a privilege to work with so many members who are committed to the work of Chestnut Hill Rotary and the community,” said Pennie.

The Fund for Northwest Philadelphia was established recently as an endowed fund that will grow over time, and provide steady and reliable support for Northwest Philadelphia in perpetuity.
