Rotary Club of Chestnut Hill member volunteers Carol Bates, Dietrick Bilger, Jon Farquharson, Jaja Jarra, Will Standish, Dave Stoeffel, and Maggie Stoeffel recently tackled a huge gardening project at the Eleanor C. Emlen Elementary School in Northwest Philadelphia. They pulled lots of weeds, added a dozen bags of mulch, and planted flowers in anticipation of the students returning on August 24.

Emlen is one of Chestnut Hill Rotary's partner schools. Members regularly volunteer to tutor students, donate books, and upkeep the school's green spaces. The Club's Foundation provides grants for special projects.
Chestnut Hill Rotary members donate 1,100 volunteer hours, $43,000 in grants and food donations, benefitting 43 local and international organizations.
